Kit injury? Over grooming?

We have a 5 day old kit with an injury on the shoulder joint. Doesn’t seem to be bothersome but am wondering if I should put on a salve since it would potentially rub off on other kits or mom would lick it. Will this heal in time?

It looks like it is already healing. Kits grow so fast that they heal very quickly. I wouldn't do anything other than keep an eye on it. And you're right, the others would most likely lick or rub off anything you put on it, anyway.
