We're expecting a string of hot days around here - from high 80's all the way up to 99 (!). The buns are less than a week old right now. My plan was to use ice bottles for these kinds of days, but that won't help the young ones buried in a nest of fuzz. I've heard several techniques for keeping adult rabbits cool, but none for young kits. Suggestions?

Kits usually don't suffer in the heat. They don't produce much body heat but need to be over 100f. Just having a large enough box they can spread out away from the fur usually let's them regulate temp.

I noticed that with my most recent litters, the kits moved themselves and the fur around to uncover parts of the nest so they could be cooler. I wouldn't worry terribly, just keep an eye out.
