Nice rabbits! I, too, would love to see their heads. I never have understood why breeders place their hands over the rabbits head like that- you can never get a good image of the bun that way... is it because they are not yet trained in their show pose and holding your hand there helps them to stay put?

They are so young, lol, but I like Wolf and King best. King's ears look long and he looks to have a bit less depth than Wolf, but I like his HQ better. Good job!

As far as posing, compact breeds are still posed with their hind feet in line with their knee joint/stifle and their toes even with their eyes, but they have an entirely different body type than a breed like an Elop for example. This means comparatively they are "scrunched up" to have the head-down proper pose (in conjunction with already having a shorter body overall) while a mandolin/semi-arch type looks significantly more relaxed in their same proper pose. So you will probably see a hand on their head more often than you would in some others to keep them this way for the picture. I don't know about everyone else, but it is difficult for me to get my Mini Lops to stay in that position where I take my pictures and I am almost always taking the pictures and posing by myself like I am sure many of us are. People will talk about training rabbits to hold a show pose, but there is only so far that can go and when they are familiar with an area and want to do their own thing (hop down and eat grass, explore, etc.) then that tends to get frustrating even if they pose perfectly at the shows.

A side note is that I noticed that when I pose my breed with a hand that it also tends to show off the proper crown that is important with the breed. I try to also take a variety of pictures so I still have a face shot and/or a more relaxed body shot in the picture, but that is just personal preference.

I hope this helps,

Lauren

Thanks for the explanation, Lauren... now the "hand over the head" makes more sense to me. I appreciate the insight. :)

They all have very good rise from the neck to the hindquarter, but Bitten is a little undercut at the lower hindquarter. Nothing I would cull out, though. Bitten has some very good traits. I lean very heavily toward King in the overall head-to-head, with Bite Me and Wolf being very good as well.

Nice group of Mini-Rex you have going there.
