Can you use ivomec injectable to treat a nursing doe for mites ? I Have used it on non nursing rabbits successfully but I'm not sure if it's safe for the kits , thanks in advance

I used the 1.87% horse paste orally on a pregnant (and then nursing) doe, with no problems.

I don't know anything about using the injectable ivermectin.

I've used the injectable on nursing does with no ill effects but...I squirt it in their mouth and don't puncher the skin with a needle. With nursing does I put a little Bene-Bac powder on her food for a few days a well just to make sure the gut keeps working. ;)

Thank you for your replies and sorry for my slow one . Just a quick update in case anyone finds this thread and needs the info I treated her with ivomec injectable orally , at my regular dosage of .1 cc per lb. it works so fast and her and her litter are doing great . I'm getting ready to treat her again today , 10 days later but its precautionary I'm positive she is more free .
