I love the color. I know nothing about faults or whether it's worth buying, but it's head looks different than most Rexes I've seen.

This one I like, looks like the ears are a bit longish for the body, but it's hard to tell that unless they are held down. Good hindquarters, good peak, wish you could get a top view. I would buy it, depending on your purposes.

this is a buck right? the head looks kind of blocky, so I hope it's a buck.

Yes it is a buck. And yes the only thing I wonder about are the ears. Thanks for the responses.

__________ Wed Apr 25, 2012 4:20 pm __________

He is also posed wrong would that have a huge effect?

Posing is also to show off the good not just hide 'bad" faults. He is "posed wrong" but I see a lot of good things in him. His ears are out of balance with his body right now. If he is still a JR. then this might change. Not bad! :)

That's what I wanted to know. In Standards, the ears are not a big thing, like they are in minis, so I don't notice them as much. My minis are both adults, I didn't watch them grow, so I wasn't sure how much those ears change, and at what stage the body grows to fit them, or if it will.

Its very easy to get the ears out of wack in the smaller Mini.. however when they are born and up till they hit the ganglies at about 4 weeks you can tell if their ears are too big. The ones that will be nice are a lot shorter (cuter haha) than ones that will be bigger. Sometimes this means that the kit didn't get a dwarf gene and may be oversize as well, sometimes not! :) A lot of the time a Mini Rex with longer ears is also a longer less compact rabbit as well which doesn't appear to be the case with the pictured broken Tort here.
