I picked up some very :( cages.

I'm trying to rehabilitate them since my rabbitosis assures that I never have enough spots to house all the bunz that seem to be here.

I took off all the bottoms and will replace with new wire but even the side walls are pretty rusty in spots.

Is there anything that I can spray paint the wire with that will not be toxic if the rabbits chew on it, or is that asking for the impossible?

I used Rustoleum on some floor wire. I think all new paints are relatively safe since they are lead free. I doubt they will ingest very much anyway even if they do chew the wire.

Good luck with having a warm and dry enough day to do it anytime soon though... temps should be between 50 and 90 degrees, with humidity of less than 65%. The paint will take longer to cure the colder it is.
