Is copper toxic to rabbits

I had some old beat up J feeders from tractor supply that I repaired with some copper sheet I had laying around. Is copper safe for rabbits?

According to a study I just read the answer is yes. I found it at http://vdi.sagepub.com/content/8/3/394 It seems to be an issues in feeds that contain 250 ppm of copper. This seemed to be more of an issue for breeding does then for bucks or unbred does. The study didn't really indicate this to be a common problem or perhaps it was just one that isn't commonly diagnosed.
