Since you are naming her Rowan, you should name him Callisto or Deneb or Raven...I will be really surprised if anyone gets the references...LOL!

__________ Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:27 am __________

OH, and cute little baby man!

What beautiful colors. The reds are often hard to come by. Does anyone know if reds breed true? Looks as though they aren't quite used to you yet. They're kind of giving you the "wild eye".

Congrats. They are beautiful.

Nope, don't get the references. I don't get out much.

Waiting to see if MSD gets it...

Forget the bunnies- that is one cute baby boy you have there! I want one of those! :p I love how he is eyeballing the cookie- "There is no escape little critter! You are my next victim!"

Oh, wait, this forum is called RabbitTalk, not BabyTalk, so I guess I better comment on the bunnies after all... they are lovely, and you can easily tell that the doe is a doe, and the buck is a buck! I love his blocky head!

Why not consider some Scottish, Irish, or Gaelic names, since that is where the redheads come from? You could use first names... Dougal, Brian, Colum, Conan, Conner, Ian, Murdock, Murtagh, Reginald, Ronald, Ronan... (CattleCait and my Sistah, 3 guesses as to what book I am reading now, and the first two don't count! ;) ) or surnames... MacDougall, MacLeod, MacKenzie, MacDubh.

I KNEW IT!!!!!! :hooray: :hooray: :hooray: :hooray: :hooray: :hooray:

My first thought would have been to name him James Alexander Malcolm McKenzie Fraser...but that is quite a mouthful for a rabbit! LOL! Of course, being 'red-heided', she could just call him "Red Jamie"...I am rereading the books right now...I am on Drums of Autumn at the mo'...

__________ Wed Mar 28, 2012 10:11 am __________

Hah! Cait just finished OutLander, and I just started reading it again! Maybe McCaffrey's books will be next after I finish the Outlander series...

Oh. Don't know who that is either. When I do get my head out of a text book or lesson plans I'm in a different genre.

I think you had it right the first time! Silly Sassenach!

You MUST read the Gabaldon novels! They are based (mostly) in Scotland during the 1700's.

I liked the early Anne Rice, but then she got too dark for me- Sleeping Beauty turned me off... I couldn't finish the book. I loved The Vampire Lestat though.

Anne McCaffrey wrote a series called "The DragonRiders of Pern", which I started reading as a teen. She then wrote more novels based in space and on "other worlds". They all have sentient animals in them that can communicate with certain humans.
