Spent the better part of the day cleaning up the rabbitry and updating cards. And what do I see? Mama laying on her shelf relaxing away from her 2wk old kits,who are now exploring the cage.

Initial stages of the weaning process...
It gives Mom a break and doesn't hurt the kits...
They'll worry her mercilessly otherwise.

Yep they were all over her before. Then it got quite. :x So I looked over and I see her chilling up high and all 6 kits staring up at her. I wasn't quick enough to get the picture though. I knew the shelf was going to pay off. :lol: :lol:

Also, by the time the kits are big enough to jump up there with momma, they're getting close to the point where they can be weaned.
