So, tomorrow is the due date according to the man I bought the buns from (who was very wrong about the other doe). They have nest boxes, they have hay and grass. Neither of them is eating as much. One definitely still looks and feels pregnant, not sure about the other. No fur being pulled or haystaches. I'm probably freaking them out with my fussing. Trying not to be too bothersome to them. This waiting for first time babies is nerve wracking. I hope they both kindle because I still have no buck for breeding back.

*fingers crossed for you*

Hope things go well, and you are posting popple pics soon!

It's dark now and I went to check on things. We have one mama with a haystache!!! It's the one I wasn't sure was pregnant, so I'm hopeful.

Ooh! My fingers crossed worked!

Yay! Hope they both have nice heathy litters for you.

*keeps fingers crossed*

I'll add some clovers...

One for each popple! :p

Hope you get plenty of nice healthy popples! :D
The first time is the hardest to wait, but I must warn you that (for me at least) the wait does not get easier on following litters. :x

Yeah, I'm not sure how I went from, "Oh, it'll happen in a few weeks," to "Holy crap, I need to get those nest boxes built!!!" Apparently "someday" does come around eventually.

:pancake:

I hope everything goes well- nest built, fur pulled, and babies all in a wiggly pile in the box! :clover:

Don't forget to bring mamadoe a nice treat to distract her while you check the popples over- I like to give parsley as a postpartum treat, but anything tasty will do. :)

I do have some parsley handy, but she's a sucker for some BOSS as well. I woke up (at 2:30) so went to check her. Just a haystache and she was in her box, so she's at least nesting in the right spot. Gave her some more straw this morning and she immediately started gathering it, but that's all for now. My other doe is just munching on hers, no attempt at a nest or anything. Dang rabbits are driving me nuts, lol.

Now they are just sitting there acting all innocent-like when I know they are plotting to keep me up all night...and probably plan on making me wait a few more days, too!

still waiting....bleh. Stupid rabbits, ain't nobody got time for that! Squirt out some popples already!!! It was warm last night but tonite is supposed to be cold, so they'll probably decide to kindle tonite.

ETA: My mustache mama is finally acting anxious and prepping her box, which is good because she was digging at the cage floor outside of the box earlier today. No fur pulled yet (unless you count my hair pulling, lol)

Okay, I just don't know. Still no babies. Today is only day 34 (if the guy's dates were accurate), but it seems like 64. They have situated straw in the boxes, but no fur pulled. One girl looks like she is going to explode babies all over the place. The other is not so big, but she is more specific about her nesting. They aren't eating as much, but they are gluttons for BOSS when I give them some. Still drinking and pooping good and otherwise acting like they have no interest in popping out some popples. At this point other than feeding and watering morning and evening, I am just trying to ignore the little brats.
