I am pretty new to breeding rabbits and to this forum so please be patient with me :)

I have studied genetics and breeding so I have the basic understanding of colot genetics in the rabbits.

Most colors I can identify early on. Like rew, black, otter, etc.

However I bred a broken chestnut doe to a solid chestnut buck mini lop and the litter resulted in 3 kits, two which I knew would be solid chestnut agouti and then I got this gem. Not sure what to make of it. When it was first born I thought a rew because color wasn't viaivle. Then about a week later it's color came in. Now it is around 2 weeks old and I wonder if it might be a blue tort or a smutty cream, but out of two agoutis? The buck has thrown a cream before but I have never seen this.

Its either a broken cream or a broken fawn - if it ends up with blue-gray eyes, its cream, brown eyes, its fawn

Thanks. :) I wasn't sure if the dark grey on the underside and ears would lighten up or if that would be the color it would stay

I concur

Broken cream = A_ B_ C_ dd ee ENen

I see agouti in the ear markings, non-extension creating the orange fur and the fur has a washed out look so I think dilute as well but a very faded/low Rufus black is not out of the question :)

If the agouti markings stay it wouldnt be a showable color, correct?

Mini Lops are usually pretty lenient with colours and I think broken cream is showable but you'd have to double check the SOP

Agouti markings would not disqualify it - they are present in all agouti based colours ie chestnut, Opal, Lynx, chinchilla etc...

it's just an easy way to tell it from being a self and broken blue tort instead of a broken blue fawn
