I looked at one site before and it said that English Lops were the biggest of all the lop breeds. But then I started going to other websites and some said French Lops were bigger! Which is the biggest??? :explode:

After more research I'm thinking the French Lop is the biggest...guess I have to search everywhere for French Lops now....

__________ Sat May 19, 2012 9:52 pm __________

:!:  :furious: :help: :wall: :cry_baby: :komp_cr: :stars:

A simple solution, get both and compare them to each other to find out which is better/bigger. Really if one is easier to find than the other this would make the best solution.

I don't really know which is bigger but from what I've seen and such English Lops getting pretty big. But it also depends on what you want to use them for, from the rabbit Wiki page thing the English Lops get 10–11 lb (4.5–5.0 kg) while the French Lops get 10 lb (4.5 kg). Both have short fur and come in many colors. If your talking about ears I think the English Lop has the longer ears but I haven't seen many pictures of French Lops.

Again, it would depend on what you wanted it for but seeing as how they are both pretty close in size it probably wouldn't matter.

true, try on Craigslist, www.oodle.com , Local newspaper online ads, and ya might get lucky if you have small animal swaps or a farmers market that allows small animal sales around ya. Either way it's worth looking into to see if you can find any and even worth getting into the swaps and farmers market for anyway just to help out with selling any that you need to sell.

I get on craigslist everyday lol. And i have checked out oodle and other websites like that. HAvent looking in the newspaper yet but thats a goodidea, thanks

From what I know English lops are a lil bigger in size but they grow slower, if your wanting them for meat go with the French Lops, they tend to have less problems with theirs ears, unlike the english who i have seen on more than once have sores on their ears becouse they are so long they get hurt just moving around in thier pens

So, interested in the French lop now

Where are you located again? Like I said I know a breeder in south jersey near me, and I do go to Philly quite often if that is closer

Hi
Try looking at the breed club website if they have one. Then look for breeders who
may be near you, depending on what type of quality you want. Most breeders will have pet quality too.
Or look at ARBA website for breeders near you. You may find someone traveling to a show that could deliver.
Hope that helps, best of luck
Angela
