I was wondering what type it is she is 3 weeks old and seems to have long fur that is very silky and kind of thick and she fits in my hand, that is all i know.
Are you sure she is 3 weeks old? If she is, it would be best to take her back to her mother and littermates and bring her home when she is 8 weeks old.
Even though baby bunnies start eating solid food by three weeks, they are very susceptible to "weaning enteritis" which is usually caused by stress and becoming chilled. It causes diarrhea and often death.
If it isn't possible to take her back, I would feed her only alfalfa hay and Old Fashioned Kitchen Oatmeal for the next several weeks. Do not give her any rabbit pellets. Unless she was raised with fresh greens I wouldn't give her any fresh foods either. Do not be tempted to give her any treats like carrots or apples yet.
It is also important that she is kept warm. She should have a small box with hay or pine shavings in it so she can conserve her body heat.
She sure is a cutie! I hope she will be okay if you can't take her back to the breeder. :clover:
MamaSheepdog said it best.......3 weeks is really young to be away from their Mom.
Did you get her from breeder, or a pet store?
Watch her really carefully, hopefully she will be OK.
As for the breed......I'm thinking probably a Lionhead. She could also be a mix.....Lionhead, Jersey Wooly, possibly even some Angora in there. Who knows.
But from what I can see in the picture I would say Lionhead.
Good-luck with her, she is a cute
