So, I've had my nestbox full of Netherlands on my washer for about 17 days now. I have some questions about when and how to transition them back to momma's cage. We've been bringing China in twice a day to nurse them, but frankly she's not loving it. LOL She pretty much has to be held in the box. I was also thinking that it's probably about time for the babies to start on some food and water too. I guess I need to rig up a water bottle in the basket they're staying in. I just don't know how to adjust them to the outdoors now...it's 7 degrees here today. I'm thinking that's too cold for them!

If you start taking them out to her to feed, instead of bringing her in, that will help to acclimate them. Give them a nestbox full of hay and they should be able to stay snuggled up in the box. Put a brick at the foot of the box, in case they have trouble climbing back into the box.

We'll try that. It's just so difficult to make her feed them that it's been easier to do it in the house.
