my buck is about 5-6 months old
and my doe is about 6-7 months
she was not lifting for him
but he did that white stuff on her tail
is there some way i can tell that they bred?

(this was yesterday)

sorry about changing the name so much too

Hmmm, charlie to broken vienna... are you positive she's broken vienna? I'm not sure that's a good cross, as I've found out breeding vienna to broken, you get charlie markings, and hotot markings, not nicely marked broken.

More receptive meaning she might lift. If she didn't lift, and he didn't grunt and fall off while holding her, then she didn't breed.

her vent is a dark pinkish purple
but she would not lift for him
he was biting her when he was on her, looked painful she was squeaking as well

Sometimes first time does don't know what to do, and are frightened.

Could you set up a larger enclosure than the buck's cage for them? Often the doe will not be as panicked if she has some running room.

Put him in it first for about 15-30 minutes so he can "claim" it by scent marking, and then put her in with him.

he is solid black not charlie
and yes my doe is a broken with blue eyes

I just put my buck and doe together and he (my buck) got so excited and was spraying all over the place (even on my doe)
is that good?

what if i lift her up?
would that work?

whenever he gets her to hold still his tail goes crazy and he bites her neck. is that normal?

should I leave them together tonight?

Just asking...why are you breeding these two? And what are your plans for the kits? Also, all these questions:
http://rabbittalk.com/how-to-discourage-unthought-out-rabbit-breeding-t807.html

I'm not saying you shouldn't breed, but you do need to think this out...
I understand that you are young, but even young people should research the details of something before trying it, especially since you will be taking responsibility for a bunch of newborn kits. If you are asking these questions about just breeding them, I get the feeling there's a whole lot more you should look into about raising the babies...threads here, youtube videos, etc.

I have 3 rabbit hutches and a day pen (a hutch without a door in a pen) my doe and buck are in two of them and I could keep the kits in them,
I want to keep 1 of the kits and sell the rest, and I think she's already bred

2 of my friends want one,

Sounds like the buck is making it obvious that he's young and still trying to figure out how to act.

What he's doing is stuff that isn't terribly unusual, but the fact that he's doing it all at once, with the doe in there... it just sounds like he's really excited, and knows he's supposed to be doing something with that doe, but he just hasn't figured out what it is yet.

He'll get it right eventually, and hopefully he'll quit the spraying. Blech.

how long will it take for him to figure it out?
he was trying to mount my does head too!

That is normal, just push him around to the right end! They will bite the doe's fur to hold on and the doe may fuss, grumble, scream even. Heck, I have a buck and doe that BOTH scream when he does it right! LOL If his "back end" is going crazy, that is what it is supposed to do...she just isn't lifting.

so.. I think that they bred!
she lifted and he fell off (it was really funny)and got stuck on his back!
what does a bunny grunt sound like?

here are some pics:__
