so, i went over the road fr 3 months leaving the rabbits in the care of my neighbor. during that time one of my bucks acquired jock itch and now needs to see the vet. so he definitely needs to go. I am also thinking of taking my black doe sense she refuses to allow either buck to mount here. she just huddles in a ball and sits there. i looked between her legs yesterday and it just didn't look right so i don't know if her problem is psychological or physical. should i tell the vet their meat rabbits? should they go on different trips? any idea what average costs are?

They could have "hutch burn" also called "urine scald" if their cage was not kept clean.

Before taking them to the vet, I would post pictures here to see if anyone knows what the problem might be. Can you post pictures?

his groin is entirely bare.

tried to upload 2 pics as attachments, but clearly the did not work.

Did you get an error message at the top of the page? Usually it's because the image is too big and just needs to be resized.

I got nothing.

Here are the steps I took.

First I clicked [post a reply].
Second, in the box with the tags [Open] & [Upload Attachment], I clicked [Upload attachment].
Third I clicked [Browse], selected my file & then clicked [open].
Fourth I clicked [Add the File] and the page reloads with no changes to anything.
Finally I clicked [Submit].

-- Mon Apr 20, 2015 12:16 pm --

IMG_20150419_153908589.jpgView attachment 1

Had my roommate figure it out for me.

Well... the pictures are really blurry, but it looks like large testicles to me.
I don't know how normal or common that is, I don't have much to compare it to.

I agree with Syberchick- I think you are just seeing his testicles.

If he had hutch burn, the skin would be moist and inflamed looking.

Normally, with hutch burn you would expect the fur to be stained and yellow around the area.
Testicles are supposed to be bald.
I do see a blurry pink area ...is there any way you can post a clear pic of that?

Now, I'm also starting to wonder if your doe is a really a doe....

Yes- plus the back feet would probably have urine on them.

I noticed that as well. Usually the area between the testicles and anus is well furred.

You missed a step.
After 'add the file', a link to the image will appear above the 'add file's area.
You have to then click 'insert' next to the image link to actually put the picture into the post.
