I am starting to selling for raw diet for dogs.... I have been feeding my dogs with rabbit now for 8 years.. I really like working with rabbits.... I am going to expand towards that area... but I am not to sure on what to charge.. this is cleaned with organs in each bag of rabbit.. this will be per pound .. just whole .. what would be a fair price.. I have been searching to see what everyone else is charging and I cant find any..

I've been selling dressed rabbits at $2 / lb. Live weight (as required in my state).

It comes out to about $ 4 / lb dressed or $10 for a 5 lb. fryer.

I had been leaving the head off and organs out since they aren't being purchased for dogs though.

I charge $7 per pound for dressed rabbit, but mine is marketed for human consumption.

Check to see how much the raw diet providers in your area charge. Hare Today (a US company) charges $23 for a skinned, gutted rabbit cut in half (estimate it being 4 lbs). So that's around $5.75 per pound (plus shipping costs).

I would think $ 2 -3 a pound live weight.

I recently found a snake buyer willing to pay $ 3 a pound for whole rabbits.
He has been here once and bought 3 rabbits so far. He was supposed to
come at the end of August again, but has not called yet.
He is wanting mainly 2 pound rabbits whole. Which is probably not going
to work for me, as I feel $ 10 per rabbit is the lowest I want to go.
That is what I been getting for mixed bunnies. But I just sold 2 of the 3
mixed does that I have to a lady who wants them for breeding does to
start up her meat line. She will be back in about 3 weeks for the other
mixed doe and then some pure cali does.

Bottom line is you have to get enough money from a litter to cover your
costs in keeping that mommy doe in production.
