How much terramycin to apply to 3 wk old kit?

We have a 21 day old Holland Lop kit that has "nest box" eye. We have been using clean water and contact solution to try to help it out. We read on here that terramycin is good as well, but can't find anything that tells how much to apply and how often.

Can anyone please help?

I've always just put a bit on a clean Q-tip to keep from contaminating the tube and then gently run a thin line of the ointment along the eyelid. There may be a better way and if there is, then I hope someone will post it for you.
