how long does it take for a does milk to dry up?

one of my does lost a whole litter, and im wondering how long it takes before she will dry up? will allowing kits from another litter to nurse from her help prevent mastitis?

Do you have any fresh mint available? Giving her some of that will help.

Mastitis isn't too common. The best way to prevent it is to keep her pen clean while she is lactating.
