how far along is this doe

We recently aquired a doe from this lady who said "she might be pregnant " but she didn't know what date her buck had bred her, as they were living colony style. We just palated her and the jelly balls were approximately an inch long, and one of them kicked us. I figure this means she's pretty close, but I don't know if I should throw a nest box in there yet.

Any advice?

If you can feel them moving she is pretty close. Might as well throw in a nest box

If you feel kits I'd put one in. Plus it does sound like she's pretty close. When I've felt my does and felt about inch long wigglers it was about a week or within a week usually that I'd see kits..

When in doubt . . . always put in a nest box. It is so sad and upsetting to lose kits because the doe had no choice but to have them on the wire.
