Ok, I have been rethinking our breeding program. Yesterday I had two different offers to buy back my grand champion from the breeder and another breeder here in town. She is geourgeuos and a big boned girl. I dont think I can part with her cause she is a pet too. (We may work out a deal where she studs for pick of the litter). Then we have her daughter. Then we have another great doe from another amazing breeder.

So I am starting to wonder if my buck is worthy. He is smaller than the girls, but he has bulked up since we showed him at 3 months. (He got 11 out of 12th pl, but he was still a baby). He is just over a year now and looks better than he did. I have read the standard and to my untrained eye he seems to meet it, but I need an expert oppinion. I am gonna take him to the breeder (who is also a judge), but I have to wait until my client delivers before I can leave town. (She is due the 28th) and I am so impatient.

Any way, here he is. What do you guys think. Please be honest, if he is not worthy of the girls, we will keep him as a pet. (So far his babies have turned out great and have great personalities, but it is only one litter)

I'm not experienced with Hollands, but he looks nice to me!

Don't get discouraged by not placing well, Hollands are very competitive, and keep in mind the folks you're competing against have probably been showing for many, many years. Gotta work your way up!
