I have heard the same from breeders at shows, one lady said they were "floppers" you could just flop uhm under your arm and they would happily be carried around all day.....
lotsa little kids around here show them
They sound like very sweet rabbits. I found a somewhat local breeder but i'm still looking into it and i'm going to wait till we move into a new house before I add anything else.
Your in the same area as me lol im in paulding right on the edge of Cobb. I found a breeder in Georgia on the arba site but im not sure how far they are from us.
I saw their website too! Doesn't seem like they post much...I guess I'll just wait till the show vendor gets to building my extra 10 (I'll be a total of 14 holes)cages before I purchase anything else. I had to move my two bonded pet rabbits into empty massive cage I have outside because Jack has horrible allergies and does best with constant air flow. I want to take on a second breed but with such a small rabbitry it might not be the best move I make Although I do want a pair of English Lops to show on the side. Now that is a breed I am dying to work with. Lops are my weakness. haha Will you be using your angoras for wool and such?
I would love to learn how to knit and spin but right now I don't so I just collect the wool and sell it on ebay. It runs from about 11-25$ depending on the amount and color. I would love a second breed but i'm going to focus on the angoras first. Yes I am a mush for lops too, I love the english and velveteen lops. I found a breeder in athens with velveteen lops and I almost got one. lol
Haha I get you completely when you do start to spinand knit id love to have a lesson on it! Angoras fascinate me and I know exactly who you are taking about! Adam is a really nice guy. I almost got an English lop from him but I'm so picky I want a specific color lol I'm obsessed with shadeds
