We rescued a baby cottontail rabbit from a truck stop after it’s mother and some other babies were killed by another animal. So we felt forced to rescue this little girl or else she would most certainly face an uncertain future.
From all the research we’ve done, we think she’s about 15 days old maybe a little more.
We’ve been bottle feeding her KMR. Recently we’ve noticed that she appears dehydrated and found out we could give her unflavored pedialyte to rehydrate her quickly.
We’re kind of winging it with this one. We know that the chances of successful rescue with a baby cottontail isn’t very good but we are trying everything we can and researching all we can. We just want this precious fur baby to have a better life than what she’s started out with.
