Okay everyone, meet the newest girls in the barn.

This is Tatro, named after the most gorgeous redhead I've ever met in my life:Tatro.JPG

This one is K-Maz, named after my favorite female college basketball player:K-Maz.JPG

Hey, they're ALMOST as red as my rabbits! ;)

Very nice. The satin sheen really does a lot for the color!

Haha Thriantas are NOT mini NZ (sorry, former breeder, one of those things that irks me).

On a nicer, happier note, these Satins are beautiful!!! I looooove red Satins.

Nah, I knew where you were coming from. Thriantas (Mini NZ's) have some deep red color to them.

AAAACK! :slap:

NZRs and Thriantas are no way, no how, not even distantly related. As a rule, anyway. Individual breeders may have cross bred for various reasons, but they have very different size, body/head/ear/fur type, and origin.

:)

Ahh, don't hand us that crap. You know darn well that all a Thrianta amounts to is a miniature version of the Red New Zealand. Denial is NOT a river in Egypt!!! :p

Argh! Not mini New Zealands! I've heard it before but NOT TRUE! I've also heard that they're just red Florida Whites, that's definately not true either lol.

Tomcat, I swear that the first time I ever laid eyes on a Thrianta, I thought it was a junior red new zealand. I don't personally care how they were brought on or where they came from, but they will always be labelled by us old-timers as copycat mini-new zealanders. :p

Just playin' :) sort of...lol

How funny is it that I have (had  ) NZ reds and I feel this same way...their faces are totally different! they are built different the fur looks different somehow too, but I have only seen pics of thriantas....I am just as bugged by the comparison! lol. Thriantas are a really pretty red, but I looove nz.
