iI have a friend who raises Nigerian Dwarf goats as part of her LGD and other breeding programs. the LGDs are raised as working animals, and the goat milk comes in handy for puppy and kitten raising, as well as human consumption.
Just a week after she euthed a buck for being too aggressive, a doe presented her with a hermaphroditic kid. so now, questions have risen which spark our curiosity.
does anyone out there have links research on the genetics that may be involved? the possibility that half siblings may be carrying the genetics? She found one article from the very early 1900s ( yes, that old) tying polled vs horned to this issue. She is hoping that her farm vet, who raises cattle, can help identify how this kid is actually built,
