This baby is the lone kit of his litter and was born 2-7. The doe was a first timer, who is 9 months old.
A little concerned about this eye. Seems the momma scratched it accidently. I am hoping it will be ok and was protected a bit by the fact that its not open. But it was bleeding a little then still doesn't look quite right. Not swollen, enflamed, or pussy at all. Any tips on how to care for it? Clean daily with warm water? So happy to have this little guy after trying so hard since fall, and are due with another litter next week!

In case anyone was concerned about our baby getting enough to eat, what a chubbers lol!

Clean it two or three times a day with a warm washcloth. If you think it's getting red or infected you could rub a tiny drop of Terramycin antibacterial ointment on it after cleaning.

Will do, thanks! Right now it's slightly a bit more open than the other one, and has a bit of dried blood from when it was bleeding. I'll start that today and continue to change it's bedding often, to try and keep it all really clean. It's been in the house except for feeding times, and is just doing really well. Because there is only one is my Doe more at risk for mastitis? This little guy isn't overly big but would you limit his feedings to once a day? He is peeing and pooping well...
