I am currenlty starting a breeding buissness i was just looking at both of my rabbits and i thought they were both new zinland rabbits. but now im not so sure. i think frosty the big white one is a new zeland rabbit but my other rabbit flower who just became a mama i dont know her breed, also the daddy of the baby rabbits has passed on but im going to post a pic of him so i can be sure what the baby rabbits are. so please can you indendtify these 3 rabbits breeds for me. because i am so confused. and please add what the breed is good for weather its meat, fur, or pets. thank you so much I just did research on google there are acutally 4 types of new zeland rabbits, there is white, red, black, and broken, frosty is def. a white, flower looks just like the broken new zilands, and hazel looks just like the red new zinlands. i think one of the babys the mama just has might turn out black because his skin is littrley pure as black as niight

I would call them New Zealand cross rabbits, I am pretty sure they are not pure bred.

Mama likely has some English spot in her to get the markings.
Papa's coat looks like it may be Standard Rex but his kits won't inherit his velvety fur they will have normal fur like mum.
Frosty could be pure New Zealand if he has red eyes, but would not be considered show quality.

Most breeds of large rabbits were meant for meat but they often have very gentle natures and make excellent pets as well. Unfortunately most people like to buy small rabbits ( less than 5 pound) as pets since they don't take up as much room and don't eat as much so selling large breed rabbits as pets can be difficult.

Thank you so much, yes i am planning on breeding them for meet, do you think it would be safe to breed mama with my new ziland rabbit and yes he has very red eyes. i also have his brother who is the same exact white with red eyes. so the babys are more like rex/newziland/english. so yeah most likley these all will sell as meat rabbits. thank you so much i actually jsut looked up rex rabbits and his fur was not like that, his fur was exaclty like the mamas fur.

Papa rabbit was probably at least partially a palomino. He looks to have the colorations of both the lynx and golden varieties.

Cute! They all look like mixes to me (the white may be a New Zealand, but it's hard to say). As long as they have good size and body shape, you should do well with raising meat bunnies. :)

The lighting is bad but mom looks like a broken chestnut, the dad looks like an orange and the other male looks to be either REW or BEW depending on eye color. Even if you can't tell the breeds, at least you can know the colors, which is always fun.

great i am more wondering if they will be safe to breed with eachother, i mean my white one and mama rabbit, and my white one has red eyes, sorry about the lighting lol.

I see no problems with breeding them together, and you should get some colorful litters from the crossing.

wonderful! thank you so much! i konw they are meat rabbits but acually some people want a few as pets :-D which i would mucth rather them sell as pets then meat honeslty lol. so i am looking to do color crossings when the people that want big bunies as pets like me will get pretty ones :-D but if they dont sell then dinner time!

I am actually quite sure that papa is a flemish, the pic looks a bit blurry not rex fur. I think he is a sandy flemish giant, I raised them for a few years.

It definitely looks like a Flemish buck head in the picture. But that still could be from a cross.
