Okay, so I had a thread a couple of days ago about a bag of feed that I had opened and it was moldy.
That was Saturday, and I bought a bag of bird seed to carry the buns through until I could get new feed. I was able to exchange the bad bag, and the store owner said that he had had others come in with feed from that shipment.
Later today, I went to get some feed for Pinto, our wry-neck house bun, from the bag we keep inside. It had been drawn from the bag I poured the last from Saturday, before opening the moldy bag. Pinto's feed was moldy. I looked in his bowl. That feed was moldy. Apparently, by the time we got near the bottom, it was going bad, and I had not noticed... though Mom has been sneaking out and taking care of feeding the rabbits sometimes lately, and her eyesight's not good enough for her to see mold on feed.
Yesterday, I suddenly lost a doe, one of four I was keeping to get a litter or two from before butchering.
Pinto has regressed some -- he's back to rolling more, when he was doing it very little. His fur is falling out.
Is there any treatment? Anything to give us a fighting chance of not finding him dead in the next couple of days?
So far, no other signs of illness in the rabbitry. :clover:
