I ran out of my old hay, which was orchard grass. My rabbits loved it but now all I can find in New Zealand near where I live is Ryegrass Hay. There is also a mixed clover and ryegrass hay which seems to have lots of other plants in it like plantain, dandelion and other unidentified weedy stuff. Will the Ryegrass Hay be Ok for my rabbits? Right now they graze a lot on the fresh green ryegrass in my backyard which is in their runs. I also feed them a very highly recommended brand of pellet, and dandelions, blackberry leaves, nasturtiums, willow, and a baby carrot on top. So do you think the ryegrass hay is going to be ok.
