If your rabbits eat no pellets...:
...how much hay does one rabbit (a meat breed) go through in a year?
...should the rabbits get different types of hay, or is just alfalfa hay good enough?
... is fescue good (what nutrients does it have)? in comparison to alfalfa?
... is oat hay good (what nutrients does it have)? in comparison to alfalfa?
... is orchard grass hay good (what nutrients does it have)? in comparison to alfalfa?

Thanks in advance!

On pasture, mine wont eat hay.
During winter, they get horse alfalfa/timothy cubes. Never loose hay, far too much waste. Near zero waste with cubes. But they also get pellets, halved with oats.

I have little wire baskets for hay, so the hay waste will be small.

__________ Fri May 31, 2013 8:40 am __________

Haha, I just found another thread (from last year) that talked about hay! so all of my questions are answered... for the time being
