good yet bad....

My Miss Keener...lovely young polish doe, not standoffish as some can be but friendly, in your face curious, probably cause she was raised by a holland lop mommy.

Judges liked her a junior so I chose to breed her. Kept her longer than I should have cause I liked her.

But finally....after FIVE breeding consisting of one live litter of three, scattered day two. two unsuccessful breedings, one stillborn litter and now we have ONE. It's a BIG kit for a polish, almost as big as a Biscuit kit. BUT she's okay, the kit has company of two meat type babies so it will stay warm.

We have a baby!

BUT miss Keener will be finding herself a NEW home as soon as this kit is weaned. One kit after five breedings.. not a keeper. BUT I'm delighted I finally have a baby of my Miss Keener.

at this point I have no idea....but I have fairly good success at finding pet homes for my polish girlies when they need to move to new places. She's such a sweetheart that I'm sure she'll find some place to be.<br /><br />__________ Tue Apr 09, 2013 9:13 am __________<br /><br />so I took a closer look in the light of day at my singleton kit...bigger than normal for a polish and fully furred already and it was born on time.
