"A dwarf rabbit really needs a minimum of 40 square foot 24/7. Those cages are barely 4 square foot!"

This, my friends, from a 'top contributor' on Y!A Jeesh, some of the misinformation...

yeah-- my thoughts exactly-- I wonder how many of us would start figuring how many rabbits for a colony in 40 sf!!! My CHILDREN have had bedrooms smallr than that!!(old mobile homes)

:slap: I wish I had known. I may have to change the way I do things. I only have enough room for 8 dwarf rabbits out there.

golly. that's 7x6 ish. for one dwarf rabbit?

Well, i'm sure that rabbit would be pretty happy, eh? I wonder if this person is relating it somehow to the size of area that a wild rabbit(cottontail) needs for it's territory?

I'll have to keep the angora girls from reading that answer. they have 70sq feet for 3...plus the 8 kits.

gees, and I knew their was a reason I stopped YA, I had 'yer an ID10t' on cut and paste...
