I have a Black Silver Fox (purebred) with wool instead of fur. So:

1. How would you code her genotype? (currently, per Global Pedigree it is showing as aa B_ C_ D_ E_ but of course the program doesn't know to account for the appearance of wool in a pure SF)

2. Both parents must be carrying the recessive for wool so what would their genotype look like?

Black wooly silver fox = aa B_ C_ D_ E_ Si_ (silver) ll(wool)

Carrier parents = aa B_ C_ D_ E_ Si_ Ll

PS They chose 'L' to stand for long fur and 'W' stands for wideband

Thank you! And, thanks for explaining what the L stood for...I would have had to ask... :p
