Foster or not?

I have two holland lop does that kindled 6 days apart.

Doe 1--first timer, no problems, 4 kits, 2 peanuts died, 2 left, great mom so far

Doe 2--third timer, rough kindling, 6 kits, 4 normal sized kits DOA, 2 left but the runt died tonight, best mom in the barn

I'm feeling concerned the singleton will have a hard time staying warm on only day 3. I feel like I'd like to take the 2 from my first doe and foster to my second. I don't feel like doe 2 can handle a rebreed but doe 1 would be ok.

Thoughts?

I agree the singleton would have a hard time staying alive alone. Your plan sounds reasonable. I would do it.

I would do it, too. Three is about the minimum for a nest of kits to be able to keep warm. Good plan!
