I tried to breed my mini rexes who were 6 months to the day, the day we bred them.

Yesterday was popple day, but I really don't think she is pregnant at all. She is showing no behaviors at all, etc.

When can I put her back in with him?

What was the breeding date ?
I would give her a few more days and do NOT take the
nest box out. 31 days is just a average, give or take.

When you bred them, did you put the doe back in with the
buck for a second time, later in the day ?

How many days has it been since you bred them?
Some do nothing until just before they are about to kindle.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

I bred her Feb 17th, I put her in his cage three or four times but only once did he successfully mount her, actually it twice in that last pairing. She wasn't really receptive (running away, lifting but running and chirping) and both are first timers.

Did the buck give a little kick like when he fell off ?
I am guessing NO from your description.
I can hear my buck when he does it right, too.

I would leave the box in for a few more days.
Probably breed her back within the week if no babies.

If I am not 100 % sure of a breeding, I will put the doe back
with the buck for several days in a row, till I see more positive
results. Always write the first day down when put with buck,
as a possible breeding, to get the nest box in, on time.

He definitely fell over/ kick/ curled up whatever you want to call it, twice. That last time. Poor guy it was like watching a comedy of errors.

That sounds like the buck did a good job :)
Well she could very well be bred then.
Some does don't pull fur till the last minute.
Or wait till the babies get here and then pull fur.

and sometimes they just don't take. It wouldn't hurt to re-breed her a few days after her due date. She will either refuse the buck if she isn't receptive, or perhaps mating behavior will help stimulate labor if there is anything in there. Keep a nestbox in though, just-in-case.

This too :)
I then figure the doe just wanted a little more quality time with the buck :)

Palpate her again. Sometimes they go longer, much longer, than they should and by this point in the pregnancy you should definitely be able to feel heads, feet and whatever else. If she's not then rebreed.
