I've only been trying for a few years. 4 generations later, an Amber has appeared in the litter.
You don't want to know what I had to do to get it. The great grand dam had an Amber out of the same litter as the sire, in theory, this should have pooped up two gens ago, but the genes just never lined up that way. This is quite significant, as the herd genetics narrows, there is not a single unrelated Rex in the colored herd (not counting chins or seal, though the chins may still have a common ancestor to the rest). If it's a buck, it could completely change the colors I get, as Amber can only give the bb choco gene, and everyone carries it, I could have an all chocolate based herd in a few generations.
I am thrilled.
