The way the runoff is with my yard, I try to keep them out of the lower parts, where the fertilizer wouldn't be the most prominent. If I can get a better place to let them run, I will. Where I put them is pretty close to my house, but it would be better if it could be on the other side of the 'ditch', except not much grows over there.
