Nat,
cut a piece of cage wire to fit into the hopper,
this will stymie your rabbits scrabbling attempts.
Leave it in for a week or two, then take it out.
If she is still scrabbling replace it.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I just recently sent such a Doe packing,
you don't want to produce more of the same.
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

The ones i had that did this becuase people mixed goodies in with the feed,(calf manna or sunflower seeds.)always feed any stufff like that in a seperate bowl.

When I moved a rabbit to the kit cage, she got a bigger/wider bowl. She stopped digging because she could now easily reach. Could try that, too.

You can also try raising your feeder to make it harder for them to reach with their paws.

All my feeders are up high, they have to stretch up. I figured it would give them some exercise as well.

My N.Z. doe has a bulge on the side of her neck it feels like fluid . she had 9 kits 2 weeks ago . Just wondering how treat it and how to prevent it.

It sounds like it may be an abscess. You should start a new thread for this here in the Rabbit Care forum. Please give more detail about size, location on neck etc. so we can help you. Use good keywords in your title, something along the lines of "Nursing doe has swelling on neck. Abscess?" This helps attract the attention of people with particular knowledge about this problem.
