Ok.Something i am doing isnt working the best.... For the feeding schedule. I did my cleaning today. And yesturday i cleaned up all the loose hay of the ground. Today i had the same amount on the ground. And go through the food like crazy. So i was thinking. Give hay in the morning only . then pellets and anything else in the evening. As they eat more at night. The ones that have litters out of the box. I fill up the feeders and they are hunger in the morning. so i fill it up again. then again at night. but the others i dont touch till night feeding... Does this sound about right ... how do you guys do it.

I feed adults at night and nursing does and weanlings to 12wks are free fed, so I top up their feeders in the morning and night.

I do the same , except for a while I was giving hay alfalfa in the morning and less pellets at night. Just recently switched back to all pellets, just easier.

I feed hay and greens (when available) in the morning, and grain at night.

I have to start putting my goggles on when i type. I seem to misspell allot words.

Nah, it was just a typo. You hit the o instead of the i and the m instead of the n. They are right next to each other. I do the same thing all the time. Typing is not my strong suit!

I feed and water in the morning. Early evening I give the hay. Some evenings I give kale, and I double check the water at sunset.

How much kale do you give each rabbit at one time?

I highly suggest starting slow with all greens, but with kale I always withhold the stems also at first. But for me I have Havana's and my seniors are in the 5lb range and Jr's right now are 3 lbs. But if I buy bunches of kale I can give the Sr's a whole leaf. If I go by Wal-Mart they have the big bag of chopped kale for $3.00 and I give 6-8 pieces to the Sr's and 3-4 to the Jr's.

Mine get fed sometime every 2-3 days. They live 30mins away so they get 3 days worth of hay and 1-2 days worth of pellets every 2-3days with enough water for that long. Sometimes I get there at 10am and sometimes it's midnight. They don't seem to notice unless they run out of food early.

I leave for work early in the morning, usually pulling out about 6, so my feeding schedule is in the evenings. I feed between 5:30 and 6 usually both pellets and a handful of hay to each of the rabbits. As mentioned by OAF, if a nursing doe or young ones, they are free fed - the feeder topped up, otherwise 4 oz pellets per rabbit and a handful of hay in the hay feeder. Adjustments are made based on what remains between feedings. If they haven't finished pellets from the night before, they may not get the full ration the next time. I only have one buck that consistently eats all between feedings. Surprisingly, he's the oldest and smallest of the crowd. Once freezing weather sets in, I'll go up in a.m. before leaving for work and empty frozen/fill crocks up.
