Hi! I bred my holland lop doe (Opal) on the 24th of March. She pulled some fur on day 25 and is now on day 30 but hasn’t done anything else. She stopped eating her pellets a few days ago. Her belly isn’t that big to me and the buck only had one fall off, so could this be a false pregnancy? Since she’s gone without eating her pellets for a few days will she get malnourished? I gave her a little bit extra romaine lettuce because she’ll only eat vegetables and hay. She has been laying around a lot more but I don’t think that’s a definitive sign of pregnancy. She’s not too comfortable with people touching her on her back or belly so I haven’t palpated her. Her stool is normal and her eyes/nose are clean so I don’t think she could be sick (still will take her to the vet once she surpasses day 35).

I’ll attach a picture I took yesterday and one I took today.

Are you breeding for a BEW?
not specifically, my rabbits babies will be going to my schools AG program when they are 8weeks and then they are going to permanent homes at 12weeks. They are going to be teaching a class on rabbits and genetics so I do hope for BEW so they can explain how it occurred. This is the only time I plan on breeding these rabbits- I mostly focus on meat breeds for breeding.

How's the re-breeding going? Hope it works this time.
