sooooo my last 2 does i bred did nto take, probably due to the heat wave we experienced in southern california a few months ago, one pulled hair and had a false pregnancy, the other showed no signs. after about 40 days i rebred the false pregnancy, and at about 34 days i rebred the doe that showed no signs...

fast forward a few weeks, and the false pregnancy doe is pulling hair, and its only been about 15 days sicne she was bred. im assuming this is another false pregnancy but i want to be sure before i re breed her so i dont lose a possible litter. i have never successfully palpatated a doe before and im not sure where to actually feel for the kits.

if anyone has any advice for me, i would appreciate it, im tempted to throw her back in with the buck to see if she lifts, but ive heard some does lift regardless of whether she is pregnant or not.

Double pregnancies is a myth, and there is another thread on here explaining why. As far as miscarriage goes, I would say that would only be likely if your doe is really stressed during breedings. It shouldn't hurt anything in a normal situation, and if she does lift and breed than you know you may have not lost another 15 days. 15 days in itself aren't a huge deal, but when you have a short window And they keep not taking it can turn into months like at my house. I just want mine bred so I out them together more often.....
