false nest is it possible

ok for a week now the female has been making a nest this is her first time at bein a mommy - shouldn`t she have had the kit already ????

It depends on the rabbit, when she was bred and her own nature. I have two doe sisters that were bred same day for their first litter. One hay nested 1 week before due date and pulled fur when she kindled, and the other nested and pulled fur at 2 weeks after being bred all the way up through till she kindled 1 day later then her sister. Some wont nest till the day of or the day before.
