Hi!
I have 6 eleven day old kits. They have all opened their eyes except the smallest one. Anything I can do to help her?
And last night three of them had gotten out of the nest! I popped them back in and took some hay out, and also put a brick in front. They haven't hopped out again, but the three that had before missed out on a feeding, today they look too skinny. Should I just leave them tonight and hope they stay in for a feed, or should I flip my doe?

We had trouble when we first started with rabbits about kits that got out of the nest box earlier than the rest and then didn't seem able to get back in and missed a feeding. We tried the step in front of the box and it didn't work for us. So we adapted our nest boxes, making the front wall so that the top half of it could be removed as soon as any kit gets out. That has worked well for us. We've never flipped nor held a doe for kits to nurse so can't help you there. Hope you find a solution that works for you.

I have a litter about that age and a couple like to chase the doe. I just watched over them till I saw they were able to get back in the box. I have placed a brick in the cage and they've used it. When they saw mom feeding the others they were quick getting back in the nest. :p
