English Spots

My brother is thinking about sometime down the road getting into English spots and I was just wondering what their temperament was like. I love the English spots look but personality is important to us.

I don't know about the temperament but if you think you are getting spotted rabbits you might want to research about a condition called megacolon. It is a congenital disease that rabbits get when two spotted rabbits are bred together- charlies often have it. Unfortunately one of my rabbits has it.

I'm surprised no one else has answered your post about the temperament of English Spot rabbits. Maybe they are rare in the US? I think they look a really cool breed. I found a facebook page with lots of pictures https://www.facebook.com/englishrabbits

[EnglishSpot]

English Spots look and act very 'hare' like. They're not necessarily people friendly and are SUPER ACTIVE. Many folks (including myself for awhile) think they have an ES when what they actually have is some sort of Broken coloring that mimics the Spot markings. Did you know that ES's don't have dewlaps? They're THAT active.

Do your research, to be sure. ARBA has a listing of about six ES breeders on their site along with breed profiles.

I know you've already made your decision, but to anyone else who looks on here about ES, there's a starting point!!
