(not cyclops, angoralops) I was trying to imagine the cross because the long ears help regulate body temps.....so I read up on the Eng.Lops and found that they have trouble staying warm and having their ears freeze in the winter....

Other "{reasons" not to try this, veg matter in the ear fuzz.....

There's an idea. I wonder if anyone has fuzzy lops and how they handle the heat...?

Well my my FH is handling the weather quiet well...I also cut of his wool for the summer. French loos actually have the ocassional fuzzy french. French breeders hate this but some pet owners don't complain ;)

Expert opinion has been given....I asked a breeder at Texas A&M. Lops ears don't give off heat efficiently, as it is the inside of the ear that does the work, and lops ears aren't open to the air....like "putting a radiator flat on the floor instead of upright in front of a fan." so, now I know....

I breed mini lops and some are able to hold an ear up when they get stressed. I've heard that "good" lops have a harder time with the heat.
