I am in a quandary--
My Son-in-Law was officially, after a fast and furious set of testing, X-rays, CT scans, MRIs and biopsies, diagnosed with Collective Duct Carcinoma-- a rare form of kidney cancer. It has metastasized, and the mass is larger than a football at this point. His liver and stomach are involved. When my grandfather was dying of cancer, the "C word" was never mentioned. when an aunt was dying, at least we knew it was cancer. I have one aunt who is a breast cancer survivor in the sense she underwent surgery and is in remission, another aunt that despite the Cleveland Clinic not being able to name the cancer, still has it, but has 'outlived' their 'expert opinions' even after discontinuing treatment-- she felt the treatment was worse than the dis-ease. my daughter has a 3 year old daughter, and has been married less than 5 years. She recently took a voluntary demotion so she could spend more time being a 'mommy' when her dear husband decided maybe he should see his GI fella about the persistent GERD symptoms.
I feel for my daughter. I am worried. I cannot physically get there to help. I want to hold her, to cry with her, to help find healthy, nutrient dense foods for them all to eat (they are desiring to get as far away from processed and GMO foods as possible) My SIL cannot eat a lot- he is basically 'renting' whatever he eats. So it is many, small meals for him. he starts Chemo next week-- surgery must wait for chemo to effect some sort of stabilization, otherwise, it could be weeks before chemo to be started (no chemo until surgeries have healed)
My SIL is the man who makes my daughter's heart smile. He has even bought some faith into her life- Their daughter is, herself, a miracle child- the only pregnancy that my daughter carried beyond the first trimester. I was thinking, if anything-- does anyone know of a source of raw cow milk in the VA Beach area-- preferably from a cow beyond the third lactation? Raw milk is full of anti-cancer agents---of anti-cancer agents.... I Know what I will do with Marsha's current litter now---
