So about a week ago today I bought a Doe and two bucks plus the does surprise three babies. When I got the doe I didn't notice her fur falling out, the mites in her ears, or the broken skin from bites on her back. I got home and saw and was shocked... I wondered how someone could let something like this get so bad? Her fur has almost completely grown back and the mites are gone now. She is a completely different rabbit. Also an update on babies. They have gained some weight and are bigger and were caught eating pellets with mom :). They are about 3 weeks old now I'm guessing maybe 4 (The guy said they were 2-3). Before long I am gonna take two out and leave one with mom (She seems to get nervous when alone)

She is a pretty huge Silver Fox and by that I mean she is quite a bit bigger than I expected and then all my buns I thought *For some reason(Thanks Google)* That Silver Foxes (From the pics) were like 7-9 lbs. But nope quite a bit bigger haha. Her little babies have started eating pellets as well now they are just all so cute!

I think I might have posted pics on facebook and forgot to put them on here.. Here is the babies and mom

And... where is the proof of the existence of these imaginary cute babies? :?

A bit rude might I say. I'm not the immature dumb ass I was when I made this account ;)

Now, in my opinion, that was rude, Buttons. You have been here long enough to know how we joke about wanting pictures of cute buns. Miss M was expressing an interest in your kits, and you smacked her down.

Oh I'm so sorry! I've been all pmsy and jank and I was in a bad mood already when I got on so I apologize for what I said! Those are my only babies right now and I think my doe Buttons is pregnant as well seeing as when I put my hand on her belly and pushed a bit there was a lump that moved away... I only felt the one though... *She is already getting round and is only about 13-15 days right now. Does that mean she is gonna have like a huge liter? Her first one she had was 9 and she was big and round like she is now...*

-- Fri Apr 01, 2016 9:34 pm --

Which I have grown up a lot! I was living with my dad when I first made this and I thought I knew everything but know I see I know nothing XD Well not nothing but not as much as more experienced breeders do. I've been watching a TON of youtubers on rabbits *jnull0, The Fewell Homestead, Food for Thought, etc.* So i've learned all I suppose I can or at least what I can find through hours of searching...

I agree, it was totally said in fun... We like our baby bunny pics around here!

Buttons, I am really sorry I offended you! :( I certainly did not intend to. It honestly was intended only in fun, a silly way of asking for pictures. I accept your apology. :)

You have grown up a lot in the time you've been here! :) And by that, I don't mean that you were soooo immature when you signed up, I only mean that you've grown up. But I tell you the truth when I say that we've had adults on this forum occasionally who have acted like children -- petty, disruptive, and always getting their feelings hurt. Adults! In contrast, most of our teens -- yeah, they might come on initially feeling like they know so much, but instead of walking off in a huff when they realize they don't, they swallow their pride and decide to learn. That is the mature thing to do. :) And then they start teaching others.

I wish I could tell you, but I have no clue... I can't even palpate!

I can't palpate either I happened to push my hand in on the side of her belly and felt one and I was so excited cause I'm pretty sure that nothing but a baby would feel like that. But I was pretty immature and I had a rough moody day yesterday an after I reread your post I was like OHHHHHH SNAPP!! Yeah I'm definitely glad I didn't leave here you guys know what your doing and I like being able to get advice from real life people and not googles opinion ya know

Every now and then I have a day when I'm just easily irritated for some reason, and I have to stop myself and ask why I am acting like that. Whether I figure out why I'm being such a grouch or not, I remind myself that it's no excuse for going around biting people's heads off. So even those of us who have been adults longer than we were kids deal with it sometimes.

And I hear ya about the members here on RT... go to Google, and you'll get 32 different answers, 3/4 of which are from people who have no clue. I like it much better here, where you can ask people you know have been there, done that.

By the way, those are some super-adorable kits! Love the little dots on the heads of Coffee and Muna, and Lilac is as cute as can be! :)

Whoa, there, Buttons! Don't you be rude to my good friend and fellow Mod Miss M!

Don't forget that I am the wielder of the ban hammer around here.

Also, you know that using swear words is not allowed at RT for two reasons;

We have a lot of young members and are a family friendly forum, and secondly, but not "officially," there are a lot of other words to get your point across without coming across as offensive... and as I have always told my kids (who don't swear to this day and are 19, 17, and nearing 14), swearing brings you down in other people's opinion.

But swearing aside, why put yourself down like that in the first place? There are plenty of people in our lives that will do that for us, so do yourself a favor and treat yourself with respect. :encourage:

You are NOT dumb, in fact you show that you want to learn how to be a good rabbit keeper by being here at RabbitTalk and doing your own research elsewhere online. All of us- every single one!- started out knowing nothing at all about rabbits.

This also applies to every other facet of our lives. Until you do something or study it, of course you will start out knowing nothing about it. The only "dumb" people out there are the ones that don't try to learn about the things that interest them, and you are obviously not one of those people!!!

As Miss M pointed out, after a bit of learning, you too will be teaching others about rabbits. How cool is that?!? :p

I am bad for being really hard on myself honestly I still blame myself for the loss of a birth defect kit because I feel like if I would've done things differently she might've lived even though I knew she wouldn't have made it no matter what. Honestly my parents have taught me this self defeating jank it's the same thing they both did and they are both absolutely terrible people now *They used to be very nice, loving people* But they've changed and I guess so have I. I'm not being blamed for everything anymore now that I'm living with my boyfriends family. So I'm working on it. I'm working through all the bad habits and whatnot. But yes I do one day plan to have my rabbitry set up in a way that it's a business and have school groups come over and talk to them about the rabbits and what I do. Who knows if it'll actually ever happen but why not set up and try? Also I'm feeling way better after finding out I have a job interview at 1pm tomorrow as well as my boyfriend *We are going to work at the same place* And it pays well. Also apparently the mites have came back with a VENGANCE *raahhh (Banshee screams)* I don't know what to do. I was using this stuff I have called Miracle Oil it's 100% natural oils like hemp, ummmmmm something else and another one or two I can't remember *I made sure they were all bun safe* But I don't know what to do. They are pretty bad already. *She stays scrunched in the back of her cage so I try to give her space but today she happened to be up in the front of the cage and I saw it.

-- Mon Apr 04, 2016 10:37 pm --

Turns out I thought that since the scabs are gone the ear mites are gone because I figured that's how it worked but nope. And that's ok because I now know how to kill them muahahaha
