My convention rabbits are home and settled. All of them met every expectation and I'm thrilled to have them.

My buck, Top Shelf Bourbon, is a big, handsome guy. At only 8 months old, he's won himself 4 legs, 2 for BOB, and he is going to turn into one solid, massive buck. I haven't taken new pics since they've arrived, but here is his "sale" picture.

My doe, Whip Cream & Brandy, is even nicer. At 8 months old, she's won herself 2 legs, both for BOB, then got a nick in her ear that ended her show career. If anything, she's even a little bigger and bulkier than Bourbon. Again, not a new pic, but her "sale" pic.

I've bred these 2 together and have high expectations for the coming litter. She's due the first week of December. I'm hoping with both of them being broken patterned, that I will still get very few charlies, since both of them are very heavily patterned. Still, that is really my biggest concern.

Both bunnies have the sweetest personalities, and while Dec is not the best time to have bunnies in Okla, that should give me a good start for the spring show season. Just for good measure, I also bred him to one of my original does, the broken blue steel, so I would hopefully have 2 milking does if something were to happen to either of them. Between them, should have a barn full of bunnies come Christmastime.

They are very nice. I was really liking e lops until I learned about the ear injury rules. I hope you get just what you are wanting out of the litter.

Yeah, it's a shame. The injury on the end of her ear is obviously not genetic. It appears to me her neighbor may have gotten ahold of it thru the cage wire. Regardless, it is enough to keep a very quality show rabbit from winning her 3rd leg, becoming a grand champion, or getting registered....so, bring on the babies!

Those bunnies look awesome!!! I bought a new buck and doe from Debbie Ernst to add to my crew, so I am looking forward to spring litters, too. The only elop I took won her class (Int solid does) at the convention!!

Are you going to be attending any SW MO shows? It sure will be great to have more e-lops there in the future.

That's great you were able to get some stock from Debbie. She and I have been associates (I don't know that I dare say friends right now) for over 20 years. I would love to have had some of her stock, but we just couldn't make it happen. She's got some really nice bunnies.

Send me a link or something where I can follow the Mo shows and I might be able to show up to a few. At this point, Okla shows are far and few between. Tulsa doesn't seem to be much better. Hopefully by spring, I'll have some nice bunnies to start putting on the table.

__________ Thu Nov 08, 2012 11:37 pm __________

I'm even more excited to see what these bunnies produce now. I just found out that the breeder I bought them from took both BOB and BOSB at convention!

Fingers crossed! Hoping to read about an easy delivery and lots of healthy e-lop popples!

Yes, Pease and Carrots stole the show. My lines started with a couple of Molly's bunnies two years ago. I suspected your buns might be hers because of those big deep behinds!! LOL!

Gorgeous bunnies! You must post lots of popple pics as they grow so those of us with ear-length-challenged breeds can ooh and ahh over their amazing ears!
