So I was given an already pregnant doe, the women I got her from told us it would be her first litter, she did build a nest and when I palpated her I could feel movement and 2 nights ago she pulled fur and last night when I came home she was bleeding and having contractions it is now the next day and she has not delivered anything I am now thinking she has a kit stuck inside as she is still having contractions is there anything I can do to help her pass the kit?

Hello, Joal! Usually a thread like this would have several answers at this point, so the forum must have been quiet today.

I know there's a website that goes into detail about things you can do, but some of the information is in these threads:

delivery-trouble-what-to-do-t10793.html

doe-in-labor-possible-complications-t13492.html

Highlights:

Give some Tums, as a calcium deficiency can cause delivery problems.
You can assist with a glove and some mineral oil.
Lavender can be given to the doe if she cannot get deliver the kits and she is in danger.

Please keep us updated!

Hopefully your doe has delivered her kits successfully by now, but just in case she hasn't, the link in this thread is very helpful:

Don't be surprised if one or more of the kits is born long and stretched- some smaller breeds have trouble delivering the larger kits, especially the first time they kindle.

Hoping for a good outcome for you. :clover:
