Yes, I have my Flemish in a Dog Crate that we used to house our 138 pound Kuvacz in. Works perfectly for him. Plus my husband put a wooden shelf in it so that he can get up higher. He loves to stretch out on it.

i do and love mine! I recommend something to keep stuff in though, i use cardboard as a urine guard type thing. keeps the fur, hay, and stray poops in. super easy to clean though. hose off and their clean!

I would love to see some pictures of kennels with wire raised floor

Are you referring to wire crates or plastic crates? The plastic crates have poor ventilation and rabbits can be very sensitive to the ammonia in their urine.

The wire ones. Got two of them. Should I secure the baby saver wire with j clips?

Yes, if you are intending on breeding. You will only need it on the doe cages. I think 4" is standard, but some kits have been known to climb over it.

Instead of wire on the sides you could also use a solid barrier such as the rigid plastic used in restaurant kitchens and bathrooms, which would double as a urine guard.

I would recommend installing floor wire so the waste falls through the floor and into the pan.

Use zip ties to secure the wire for the floor and for the sides. I used 1" by 1/2" for baby saver and floor wire. Cut the peices to fit and used heavy zip ties to secure it in. J clips didn't fit around the kennel wire very well. I do think something solid on the out side part way up is good too cuz I have a naughty doe who when she has kits pees out the cage. I have discovered she stopped since I took her kits out though.

I will try to remember to get a pic. Shay stapled floor wire to a plywood frame. Zip ties would be more sanitary.

zip ties would be easy to replace and make cleaning super easy...just cut them scrub whats needed then ziptie wire back up. awesome idea

J-feeders don't work with the differently spaced wires. But what everyone has said is right...put in suspended wire floor, and give them a shelf to use some of the "wasted" head room, and a urine guard...you're in business.
